COVID-19 / Coronavirus: UpdatePosted : March 19th, 2020
We hope you are all managing during this uncertain and difficult time. Here at Park House Stables our top priority is our staff team and we have put in place a series of measures to try and minimise the risk to them.
In terms of the horses, we are intending to keep them all in full training for the time being. We cannot know for sure when racing will re-start but in the hope that it will resume in late spring/early summer, the two year olds and later developing horses will continue to follow their existing programme. Some of the horses who are more advanced in their fitness and were due to run in the next month will need to be taken back a little so we do not over-train them, and the higher-rated horses who had a more fixed training programme geared to specific targets will have that programme adjusted accordingly.
The Kingsclere magazine is out today (link here) and, whilst it is already out of date, we hope it provides some diversion! We will run our Twelve To Follow competition as normal (link to form here) but will shift the start date to whenever racing resumes. We will also be putting regular photos and videos up on our instagram feed (@parkhousestables).
We would like to thank all our staff, owners and other yard connections and supporters for their help during this time.
